I actually like Keanu Reeves

I know he gets a lot of hate for his acting skills, or lack thereof, but I usually enjoy his films.
Outside of his shite films, (every actor has a 47 Ronin on their resume) he usually picks roles that are enjoyable. Could you imagine a better Johnny Utah, Shane Falco, or John Constantine? I can't and that's why I like him.
All of this to say that I am looking forward to John Wick.

I actually think he was good as Constantine. Underrated comic movie.

I love Constantine. The only issue I had with it was the casting of Tilda Swinton as Gabriel.
I hope the TV show is enjoyable.

He's misunderstood. He's just a slightly younger Tom Hanks who has, at some points, taken more chances. And I like that a lot about him. He's limited in acting, but he often doesn't try to stretch it too much. He has a lot of charisma. He takes chances on weird scripts on roles just for the heck of it. He doesn't try to "hit it big" every time, and he tries every single genre under the sun. He's a great action or comedy star and I think he'll do some higher quality fun stuff as he gets older.

Keanu Reeves is awesome and 47 Ronin was alright for what it is.

Actually yes, I could imagine a better John Constantine, but having said that, he was much better than I thought he would be. So was the movie.

Peter Stormare was perfect as Lucifer.

Every time one of those "What star do you want to have a beer with?" questions come up Keanu is one I would consider. He's been in the industry for forever, has been extremely successful, has fallen, but I don't feel like he's ever sold out.
Someone who is still competent and sane after literally growing up in the industry has to be extremely laid back and confident. Either that or so crazy that no one wants to mess with them. Either way, that's probably an interesting chat. See also Ron Howard.

He has been in some god awful films. The Day The Earth Stood Still is one of the worst big budget films ever. Yeah, probably worse than Battlefield Earth.
I like the guy but sorry Freaux Tom Hanks could act circles around Keanu.

Dude gave up $75 million to The Matrix costume department because he thought they made him look badass and deserved it more than he did. He also gave a Matrix set guy $20,000 because he heard through the grapevine that the guy wasn't going to be able to buy Christmas for his kids. He is a solid dude. He's also had a tough personal life. He's lost a best friend (River Phoenix) and a girlfriend.

Keanu is one of the best "everyman" in the business. Right up there with Tom Cruise. It's when he tries to overstretch his acting ability, like trying to put on an accent, that he becomes a bit cringe-worthy.

I haven't hated anything he's done except maybe the second Matrix movie. John Wick looks like a bland action movie but I'm sure it will at least be watchable.
