At Universal Studios in Orlando, is the Express Pass worth it? We are heading there in January.

hell yea. was able to ride almost all of the top rides bout 5 times in both parks in 1 day.
only shitty thing was when i went you couldn't use it on the new harry potter coaster. maybe thats changed now.

Without a doubt. One thing to note is that they have two types of express passes. The cheaper one let's you skip the line one time per each ride. The more expensive pass offers unlimited line skipping for each ride.

We went this past January, and I would definitely say yes. I can't imagine how bad the lines are in the summertime.

Also, I went in January nearly 2 years ago. I was able to ride whatever I wanted until I got tired of it.

I went in 1982 when just a kid and they didn't have express pass then. Hope this helps.

I got the one ride pass in June for me and my family and it was great. Took us a whole day to ride just about everything once. You couldn't use it on the Harry Potter ride but I thought it was worth the wait.

2 Park Universal ExpressSM Pass (1-Day)
Allows you to bypass the regular lines by providing Express Access to participating attractions at either Universal Studios Florida AND Islands of Adventure theme park.
Express Access is a separate line with a shorter wait time at each valid attraction.
Valid for use only one (1) time at each participating attraction.
Universal Express Pass is not valid for admission to either theme park.
Not valid at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts™, the Hogwarts™ Express and other select attractions.

Yes and please be sure to go to the islands of adventure part of universal too. Harry potter land is awesome and I could care less about the movies even. Get a butter beer from there, they are amazing. I think they have nonalcoholic or alcoholic. Also be sure to ride the rock it roller coaster. All the other rides are cool, but those were my favorites.

not sure about January but i know 2 weeks before Christmas its not worth it at all. longest i ever waited in a line was 15 minutes

When I was there none had alcohol.
Also, other than the rock roller coaster, most of the other rides suck in comparison.

Heading down on Sat. The 1st.
We went a few years ago in late October, and we didn't need an express pass. We got off of the Hulk at islands of adventure, and went right back up and got back In the first row with no wait.
