I really like the way the two bucks reflect the way deer look from their respected regions. Kudos to your taxidermist. And great job on killing some good looking bucks.

Very nice, and it looks like the wife let you put them in a common area too.

Yeah I don't know why she didn't put up a fight but she does call the house a "lodge" now. I also have a redfish on a wall opposite of the deer. I think I maxed out my luck, anymore will have to go elsewhere

It was about 150-160lbs and the LA deer was 170-180ish if I remember correctly

It looks like someone either did a rough cape job or the taxidermist needs to tighten it up. Either way, nice buck.

Whats so great about them? I have never had any comments on them before and in this thread i have two. they are actually a pain in the arse. they face west so the sun comes in hot during the afternoon hours. I put some heat blocking window tint, which is why they look "mirrored"

It looks fine to me. I go once a year on a free all inclusive hunt and the mount is part of the deal so im just fine with it. Actually, the 6 point was done by a guy in his 20s (i think) in his garage a few miles from my camp and the Texas deer was "professionally" done, so....

Nice bucks boss. I didn't know you were a hunter. I just bought a bow to get into hunting 4 legged creatures on my dads property in independence and on WMAs. We'll have to get together for a hunt one day.

I'll be hitting you up to come bowfishing soon. Between peoples weddings and LSU football, I hadn't had much time lately.

What a coincidence.

I went fishing for the first time the other day and caught this one.
Should I get it mounted?

Seriously though, congrats to the OP.

those aren't my first deer, if that makes it easier for you. They are bucks 1 and 2 but not the first deer I've killed. I killed a doe my first day deer hunting 3 years ago. then nothing else until this past season. My second season, I let two 4 points walk. One is the 6 point that is on the wall
