re: T-ZERO DAYS until Italy, final logistics to-do list - GEAUXLPOST
There is a restaurant across from Chiesa di San Geremia (body of St. Lucy is here, and visible) in Venice. This is located on the train station side of Venice, not St. Marks side. The name of it is "Trattoria Vittoria de Aldo" Family owned. Mama's Lasagna was awesome, the fresh fish was outstanding....

[quote]Other side of the river is great. Lots of good leather on that side of the river, but the best is Papini just on the north side of the Ponte Vecchio. They've made leather for nearly every US President and make incredible leather money clips. I've had one for three years that is still as good ...

Every place an American visits in Europe is damn near a tourist trap, that's part of their economy. Doge's Palace and St. Marks are incredible. Venice is phenomenal during the day and pretty impressive at night. Sorry you had a crappy experience there, but the entire experience in Venice was incredi...

I usually have a Pacsafe backpack with me that has zippers that hide away and clamp down, or can be locked. Got it on Amazon, it was like $100 I think. It's lined with a wire mesh that does not allow it to be sliced open by razor (some thieves will cut the bottom so your things fall out, pick up wha...

This happened to someone on our trip getting on the metro in Rome. Three young girls, maybe 10-12 years old. They waited until the doors were about to close, snatched and jumped through the doors. ...

Try, if at all possible , to get an advanced ticket/appointment to get into Academia Gallery to see "The David" while in Florence. One of the most recognizable pieces of art in history. It was truly incredible to see the real thing. There is a replica in the square, but its just not the same. If not,...

Software - Document Creation - GEAUXLPOST
I am looking for a software for Mac in which I could create a magazine style “diary” of my last three years of travelling. I have no clue if I’m asking the right question or not, but I basically would like to have pictures of all the places I have been in chronological order and somewhat be able to ...

What weight on the crab do you recommend? One other thing, I had issues with my leader breaking this past weekend. it was a 30/20/14/12 tapered leader. I ended up cutting off the 12# section and just using the 14# section to tie the fly. Do you make your own leaders, If so, what do you use? B...

re: The Fly Fishing Thread: Questions, pics, discussion all here - GEAUXLPOST
Got to take my new fly gear out today finally! I didn't even bring a baitcaster with me, just my fly rod. I've been fishing for as long as I can remember and fly fishing definitely tested my patience more than anything I've ever done. Any way, I wound up with a limit of reds, all between 21-25"....
