Why is a guy like Jordy Nelson so rare?

There are a lot of white guys about 30 pounds heavier playing tight end.

He was a first team all american receiver.

He has a blend of size and speed that isn't very common, plus he can go across the middle and he runs good routes.

He can do it all. That's rare in a person, black or white

He's not even in the discussion of top 5 WRs, but he has puts up strong numbers since 2011. 2012 was a down injury plagued year for him. In 2013 back up to the 2011-esque numbers. This year he's playing his absolute best.

Him and Antonio Brown get snubbed way too often.

Ok, genetics, culture, socioeconomics, environment, history and probably a myriad of other factors working together in a complex way that can't be explained or quantified.
