*Very glad to know that Andre Debose has no more eligibility (a 6th year senior? you don't see many of those).

*I thought Beckwith did well in his first start at MLB

*Florida has been a power running team this year, good to see the middle of our defense not give up the big runs like we saw against Auburn and MSU

*Jennings still can't seem to get his completion percentage above 50%, but when we needed him to make a big completion, he seemed to come through.

*Not ready to go all in with Jennings, I still think he is too limited of a passer to be a 3 year starter, but he is definitely a solid back-up QB who can come in and finish a game and get a W.

*Don't care about how he played against Auburn, still think Harris is the best long-term solution at the QB spot, would very much like to see him get a quarter or two against UK

*Leornard finally got enough carries to really show what he can do, loved watching him truck the Florida safety Poole into the endzone

*Magee is damn good back, I predict he is going to be a long time NFL player

*Offensive line probably played their best game of the year so far, not too many breakdowns, and that Florida defense is good

*Special teams breakdowns in the kickoff and punt coverage were not good, but that may be the easiest thing to correct on a FB team

*We can still have a very good year, some teams that looked invincible earlier in the year (e.g. Bama and A&M) are suddenly mortal after all.

*MSU and Auburn better have enjoyed their wins in 2014, because in 2015 we may have another MNC caliber team on our hands.

Starting Beckwith was key.

Defense was much better, and seems to be jellying as all Chavis groups do. They all get better as season goes along baring significant injuries. Next year they will be a dominating defense again.

Offense is hard to watch. Boring and predictable. We can now run the ball but passing is still a joke. Harris needs a designed series or two every game in my opinion. Everyone will stack the box against us and take their chances. (We have no intermediate passing game with Jennings.) Short and long balls only.

Special teams were terrible except for the Long FG.

Final thoughts on Florida game Jennings sucks Why it took 6 games to figure out we need to run Fournette to to left side baffles me Jennings sucks Defense was a tad better Jennings sucks

And he actually fumbled the snap in the process of spiking the ball to set up the FG.

Worst QB to ever start more than one game for LSU.

Really? What about the guy who put up these horrible stats as LSU's QB?

Auburn 15-27 55.6 169 0 TDs 0 INT
Florida 11-25 44.0 158 0 TDs 1 INT
South Carolina 12-25 48.0 148 0 TDs 1 INT
Texas A&M 11-29 37.9 97 1 TD 0 INT

That's a bit of a stretch.

Have to disagree. I've seen quite a few since the fifties who were not as talented as Jennings. He is athletic and actually throws a decent deep ball. Would be much more efficient in a true spread, though not as good as Harris IMO.

Yep, and the next year, 2011, LSU had probably the finest team I have ever seen put on the purple and gold.

2015 may be the year.

Probably the most disappointing position on the team. I expected so much more from Beckwith, but did not realize he was originally a DE and is still learning MLB position. He whiffed on several tackles and was out of position often. I hope he learns a lot this year and comes back even stronger (physically and mentally) next year. You can tell he has great athletic ability, just needs to learn the position better.

I don't care how good you think Gus might be, you don't just plug in a new QB and have the same offense year after year. It isn't true in Florida, Bama, here, or anywhere.

Let's see how good Gus looks next season without Marshall.
