I will never vote again unless...

I'm going for the record for most downvotes ever for a post on O-T Lounge.

I live in Augusta, Georgia. The democrats running for office in my district are as conservative as the republicans. Because I am a liberal, this means I have no reason to vote.

I will never vote again unless a candidate running for office has the following 3 points on their platform.

1. Legalize recreational marijuana. This is the only thing that would really matter to the quality of my life.

2. Raise taxes. All politicians promise to cut taxes. Some local politician had his name beside a sign that stated in giant letters "CUT TAXES." I think it's deplorable that the only thing candidates have to say about themselves is they are for cutting taxes. Even democrats favor cutting taxes to bribe voters. I think this is short-sighted and asinine. If politicians keep cutting taxes, there will be no revenue to maintain a government. There will be no schools, no Social Security, and no army. I'm a contrarian who stand bravely against this idiocy. Raise my taxes!

3. Outlaw all handguns for all civilians. Even democrats show campaign ads with them running around with guns in their hands. Michelle Nunn looks really silly holding a rifle. John Barrow has an 100% rating awarded from the NRA which in my opinion is a terrorist organization worse than Al Queda. Guns are a bad thing, and Americans are insane when it comes to guns. Will someone ever stand up to this lunacy?

Before anyone reacts with unfounded hostility, just remember this is 1 man's opinion. One man who is so disenfranchised that he has nobody to vote for. There is no reason for anyone to react with anger to my post. I am the one who should be angry, but I'm not. I simply have learned to endure living among right wing wackos.
