Has anyone upgraded to the new update? Has it been any better and fixed the bugs?

It's not out yet.
Do you mean 8.0.2?

I've upgraded, but my phone is still sluggish. I do have a 4S FWIW

I added a couple health apps a couple days ago that has integration with health kit, so it was nice to add that, but because I have an iPhone 5 there is only one app that I care about health kit integration, that is fitbit. I keep this thing on me at all times of the day even while I sleep. So everything that goes into health kit must be manually added, except heat rate, instant heart rate allows me to measure my heart rate in that app than send it to the health kit. I'm amazed how slowly apps are integrating health kit into their code. I'm disappointed with apple for making it seemingly so difficult. It's a bad apple

Dammit. iOS 8 has ruined my 4S. I'm considering switching to Samsung Note 3 at this point. I'm intrigued by the 'phablet' trend anyway.

It was pretty widely reported to avoid upgrading 4S when 8 came out.

Well. Apparently I missed the widely-reported reports.

It's funny how this works. All my friends have basically switched from iPhones to some sort of Galaxy phone and love them. I've had 2 or 3 in the past few years, latest was an S5, and they all froze and stuttered and just sucked. Had it not been for that they are badass.

Has totally screwed up my iPad 3. Very slow and Safari is a mess. Absolutely hate it. Have to get on iTunes and roll this thing back.

roll this thing back.
Any insight on how to do that? I'm in the same boat with my iPad 3.

I have asked on the board but no responses. It is my undersstanding that I have to be on iTunes to roll it back. Have only my work computer with me so do not have iTunes loaded. Going to give it a shot when I get home. Absolutely hate this update. Total garbage.
