Big games for the 2 best conferences are:

MVC:

SIU @ NDSU
ILS @ INS
SMS @ SDSU

SLC:

McNeese @ Sam St.

McNeese looks very good but this weeks game at Sam scares me.

its their homecoming and they had basically a whole new team and whole new staff so it took them a month or so to gel.

everyone wrote them off after E Washington but they have tons of talent.

You do realize that they lost to a Division II team correct? I know you need to gel and all, but how do you go from almost beating E. Washington to losing to division II team?

I read a story on that. first off they are the number 1 ranked team in DII and would be ranked in FCS

secondly, I heard there was a huge shakeup that week and a big ordeal in the locker room. basically the team came out completely flat.

I wouldn't judge them on that game, they basically have 18 new starters. they will gel soon

I think Sam St at Huntsville is a tough out for anyone this time of year.

It will be interesting to see if the SLC starts to beating each other and not have the one true dominant team.

The MVC has NDSU, but 2-9 can beat anyone at any time.

Nova should be #2, that is my biggest issue with this poll.

I think Coastal is best team outside of the MVC and SLC.

It will be interesting to see if the committee screws the MVC again. The MVC can legitimately put 8 deserving teams in, but they wont do it, nor should they. But they better get more than 2 like last year.

I watched most of the Coastal-Furman game Saturday and I can't see any way Coastal is the third best team in FCS unless that was just one bad game. Furman has only won one game this year - they've lost to powerhouses such as Presbyterian and SC State. And got smoked by Western Carolina. Furman took Coastal into double overtime and almost beat them. They ran for almost 300 yards on them. Coastal's defense looked like the poop.

Yeah, I think teams are just going to beat each other up and the Valley will cannibalize itself. Getting four teams in might be tough, unless the committee puts more emphasis on SOS.

As for CCU, hard to say how good they are since their schedule is just so weak.
