104.5 this morning - Jamie Howard stated for LSU to have success, it will depend more on Cam's play-calling than Harris' abilities. That it depends more on how much Cam uses the spread which Jamie claimed would help LSU's QB and running-backs more.

yep. couldn't agree more. also with a young QB who is still learning how to go through progressions you can roll him out often while running flood plays to that side of the field giving him 3 options, deep(go route), intermediate(corner or crossing route) and short(drag route or flat route). he will always have the option to tuck it and run as well.

He's right. It's abundantly clear that these guys are more comfortable from the shotgun and in a less condensed formations. That's what worries me most about the offense, that Les is going to continuously try to jam square pegs in round holes.

...and he actually throws really well on the run.

Exactly. Some of the hardest throws for a QB to make are the ones that Harris is best at. Pretty impressive.

Add in misdirection plays and roll outs away from the flow to keep the defense honest.

And iF LSU manages to win out but loses an opportunity to play in the playoffs, negatigers will claim Les cost LSU another championship.

If that big if happens, I'd be rather upset we played dead, and refused to see it, against the grinders. Ya sure enough

I agree with this. Offense is still chronically boring and predictable. Has been for years. Don't expect that to change anytime soon.
