HOUSTON, Texas -- A Dallas paramedic claimed he drove the ambulance that the US Ebola patient was transported in and that he was not contacted by anyone about the potential exposure. He claims he drove the ambulance sometime after the patient was transported. The Dallas Fire Department left the ambulance that transported Ebola patient Thomas Duncan to the hospital in service for at least 48 hours before putting it in quarantine on Wednesday. The ambulance was exposed to the Ebola virus when Duncan was transported on September 28th.
“All the people in the back of the ambulance 48 hours later before they finally took the ambulance out of service,” said Dallas Paramedic Geoffrey Aklinski in a discussion on Facebook,

“none of them have been contacted. None of the paramedics that were on that shift and went in the ambulance were contacted. I’ve been off three days now. No one contacted me and I was in and drove that ambulance after it was infected.”

Wouldn't a "Thanks Obama!" be more appropriate?

Why isn't the government takeover of health care working?

I really, really, REALLY hope that the CDC knows what it's talking about with regard to the infection risk. If they're wrong, this could get ugly fast.

There is no way that guy came into contact with only half a dozen or so people since he became infected.

Do you think the CDC is not running this operation?

Funny I don't recall ever having to submit to a medical exam when entering the U.S. That would probably cause quite a massive frick jam in international air travel if it was a requirement.

Aklinski said he is going in for testing today and then will go into a 21 day home evaluation period.
There is no test, they just will send him home and ask him to take his temperature twice a day.

“How do you not test and contact the firefighters at the station on Sunday!!!
Why would you test firefighters at the station? They wouldn't be in any danger.

The guy is scared or looking for a 3 week vacation.

You shouldn't call someone a moron especially when you don't know the facts:

quote:

(CNN) -- Wilfred Smallwood, who says he's a half-brother of Dallas Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan, said Thursday that he doesn't believe Duncan knew he had Ebola when he left Liberia for the United States. Smallwood said that when Duncan first visited Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, neither Duncan nor the hospital knew then that he had Ebola.
LINK
His family is now quarantined.

Might be difficult to tell the ambulance driver when neither the hospital nor the patient knew.

But it's Breitbart so no care.

Hong Kong has scanned passengers entering for fever for years.

Also, it isn't prudent or cost effective to examine EVERYONE entering the country. Only those entering from areas where the disease has been appearing or those who have traveled to those areas recently.

Your right.
Why should the Gov monitor flights from infected areas.
What could go wrong?

Ummm

Are you stupid?

The hospital isn't in charge of tracking exposed individuals. Especially not those of a third party.

That is literally the sole job of the CDC/public health departments.

Do they know now about the ebola? If so, what is the excuse now to not even contact them?

You're making this too easy Tuba. You just made my argument for me. People from the affected area shouldn't be allowed to come here...PERIOD!

This isn't the damn measles we're talking about here.
