what is with BBC and 6 episode seasons? Seems like the plot points are rushed a bit, could use some more twists and action. Overall though really good, I'm going to be watching season 2 online.

I don't think having less episodes is bad. There seems to be less filler on BBC shows. They usually get just enough out of those 6 episodes so that they accomplish what they want but keep you wanting more.

I just started watching a few days ago. I have seen the first 4 episodes. It is really well done. I like the whole Commies and gangsters angle.

I first noticed him in The Wind That Shakes the Barley, he was great in that one everyone should check it out if they haven't already.

fricking sweet.

Overall, I think it is an excellent show, but was anyone else a little let down by the season 1 finale? It just seemed a bit less grandiose than I was imagining and more contrived than the rest of it.

I watched the first 4 episodes or so (the one at the horse track was the last one I saw)... Keep trying to get into it but just can't for some reason.

I have to watch it with CC on because I can't pick up on their accent sometimes.

That being said, it's engaging and very well acted. It looks like it will be a fine period show.

This. Cillian Murphy is amazing.

I don't have an eye for this sort of thing, but I really enjoy the way it's filmed. All I mean is that the camera angles, staging, etc are noticeably good IMO, and I don't usually notice those things.

Music is good too.

I've started it. Kind of hard to understand the dialogue because of the accents sometimes, but so far so good.

See, I can understand any UK accent easily.

Some people in America...I have no clue what the hell they are saying.
