I'll be diving in this weekend but haven't really heard much about it. Really solid cast.

Also, and I just learned this tonight, but the second season started today on bbc2 in the uk, AND tom hardy is in the second season! Can't wait and have high hopes.

Those that don't know the entire first season is available on Netflix.

I just saw an ad for this, and honestly it's the first I've heard of it. It looks interesting for sure.

Just got done with season 1, don't know how it hasn't blown up yet.

It is Boardwalk Empire in England no doubt, but I find it more enjoyable.

That is EXACTLY how I was going to describe it.

I actually downloaded the first season a couple weeks ago but haven't started watching it yet. I'll probably start on it this weekend. I like Cillian Murphy he's a real good actor.

Watched 1st episode last night. If it wasn't so late, I probably would have finished whole season. 1st episode had me hooked.

I just started it last night, and I'm hooked after two episodes. I think this show is about to take off.

It's the next big series to drop.

Netflix is coming correct with their series.

Finished season 1

Helen McCrory (Aunt Polly) is about as strong of an actress as you can find for an alpha female mother. She really keeps the story together as Thomas (Cillian Murphy) makes his move to legitimize the family business (book racing). Everything goes through Aunt Polly or Thomas then they decide the appropriate course. Notice the family meetings happen less and less after the first few episodes. With Ada pregnancy and Aurthors mental state, it's easy to see why the family meetings became Polly & Thomas.

I will agree to a certain point. The music speeding up with the awkward cut of the music ending while the actual scene is actually anticlimactic, is weird? They do this more than once an episode. It's really the only pet peeve I have with the show.

Please don't ever compare this to BWE.

Bad arse show. It started out pretty slow for me. (I actually fell asleep for a few minutes on the first episode). But episode 2 really picked it up and I was hooked. Finished the whole series in a day and a half.

I agree. Seems like every series they drop is great.
