"ONCE WE AGREED ON THE AMOUNT OF MONEY, I GAVE THEM THE FIRST CRACK AT HOW TO DIVIDE IT UP."

Somehow, the brothers agreed to a split pretty quickly and it wasn't even right down the middle. Markieff gets $8 million per year, while Marcus gets $5 million per year. Keef put up 13 and 6 in 26 minutes per game last year, while Marcus put up 10 and 4 in 20 minutes.

Honestly, that's pretty smart. You don't want to create a rift there.

They broke some serious bread this offseason. Too bad Dragic is gone after this year though

They probably had a 2k tournament to decide who gets what. That's apparently what they did to determine who got the master bedroom at their house.

Phoenix has 2 sets of brothers and like 10 point guards.

What a strangely-built team...

God I hope so. It's amazing that we lost Dragic and Lowry in one offseason. But Lowry didn't get along with McHale. Morey just wasn't willing to give Dragic a player option I believe. Morey hates to be restricted in free agency by player options.

No chance, they just paid his brother to move out here just to keep him happy and are gonna give him the big bucks soon.

This made me so sad that im not a rich athlete playing on the same team as my brother who is also my friend and roommate. My life sucks.

Awesome that Marcus is mature enough to take the lesser deal, without much of a fuss. I'm sure his brother has to pay for take-out now, though

Cool story.

I constantly confuse these two. Wasn't Marcus the better player in college and Markieff has had the better NBA career? Or am I mixing that up?

im not sure. but that seems to be the MO with the lopez boys, brook and sideshow bob---EERRRRR robin. i thought brook lopez would dominate this league, but he cant stay healthy and doesnt play D. robin has turned into a real nice rim protector, rebound, and energy guy. can never have enough of those guys...

yeah marcus was better in college but markieff is slightly bigger and was pinned as the better nba prospect and player which he has lived up to. keef was drafted 13th and marcus 14th. im pretty sure markieff was better in high school as well. kinda weird.

Weird. I knew they went close in the draft but I thought Marcus had gone higher and was supposed to go several spots ahead of Markieff.

Markieff is bigger? Aren't they identical twins?

Ya but he is like an inch taller and 10 pounds bigger. It says a lot about these kids that they were able to do this IMO, its a VERY cool sports story when there haven't been many of them lately.
