I live in the DFW area and Sprint is hands down the worst service you could ask for.

My options are:
1) Verizon
2) T-Mobile

What are your thoughts and recommendations?

tmobile in a landslide if you live in the DFW area and dont spend alot of time in the boonies.

whatever you decide..take a 'test run' first and check the coverage/signal in places you tend to be in frequently.

eta verizen & tmo are OPPOSITE ends of the spectrum.

tmo is $ and great plans & customer service will do AMAZING things to keep you.

verizen is $$$, FANTASTIC coverage and they're like 'frick you we're verizen and you can get a signal in the mohabi desert so we don't care if you stay or not'

Anything will be better than Sprint. Tmobile is great in big cities and on highways, but gets absolutely no service just about anywhere else

My wife gets a 25% discount from Verizon through her company so that's tempting as well. T-Mobile seems to be on the uprise with all of their deals and specials such as (4G LTE data will not be used against you when using music apps like Pandora, iHeartRadio, etc) Kinda cool.

But Sprint has fricked me long enough with their piss poor service no matter where I am. Even inside a damn Sprint store it'll be shitty.

I'm in Dallas. I left Sprint and went with T-Mo. Lasted a month...hated it. Spotty service even in the city. I barely get service on the 30th floor where I work. Also, travelling back to LA, I couldn't get LTE consistently on the interstate. I went with Cricket. It uses the ATT network and have not had any complaints since I changed over.

I remember a sprint guy telling me that they had to get a special antenna just to get good enough data and device at then sprint store. The last straw for me was when I was in Harvey and i couldn't get any service when I was lost and trying to find a restaurant

As much as I travel, Sprint works really well for me in Dallas.

Try coming to Louisiana and it isn't so great.

We have had a Verizon family plan for many years and have been pleased with the service.

I would tell you TMob all day if the coverage is good where you are. They will give you an iPhone for a week and you can "test drive" TMob. I highly recommend doing that to see if you like the coverage. If so, they blow Verizon out of the water on price, plans, and a few other extras (international being a big one).
