The Simpsons on FXX

Does anyone else find the excessive amount of Simpsons eps. on FXX a little annoying or maybe just overkill?
First there was the marathon. Okay, that was fine, but now it's 4 hours during primetime. They seriously can't find anything else? Seems like overkill to me.

Not at all. I watch every time I can. And then I record the rest. If you don't like the Simpsons you can diaf for all I care

I love the simpsons! Probably should have put that in the OP. But I thought the channel would have more original content or at least movies.
And to the point about DVRing, couldn't you do that if it played midday for 4 hours?

the problem is there was no need for the channel
all they are doing is killing the comedy series that should be airing on FX.

I think it's great. When there is nothing else on I can put it on FXX and watch The Simpsons

It's weird watching the first few seasons. The animation looked so different. I first started watching around season 5 as a kid.

I'm with you. Its on constantly, I don't understand why channels will do that. They show something so much that it gets run into the ground. Comedy Central airs South Park reruns all the time, and they only show the really old episodes.

Totally get it, but Homer Loves Flanders is on at midnight. This does feel a little like when scyfy lured me in with Taken, then promptly went dogbarf.

im not a huge simpsons guy, but for what they paid for it, they can play it as much as they damn well please

I don't think it was originally their intention but the marathon got such great response and ratings compared to what FXX normally gets.
