New Orleans police arrested two 16-year-old boys in Monday's slaying of Domino's delivery driver Richard Yeager in Mid-City.

NOPD Interim Superintendent Michael Harrison announced the arrests at a Tuesday news conference but would not identify the suspects because of their ages. They are both facing a charge of first-degree murder, Harrison said.

Yeager, 35, was found shot to death shortly after midnight early Monday morning, with his car stolen minutes after he delivered a pizza in the 2800 block of St. Louis Street.

Both teens, arrested Monday night at the corner of Pine and Forshey streets, were wearing electronic monitoring devices stemming from previous arrests, the chief said.

Harrison would not detail the previous crimes but said, "I believe their history indicates they were violent offenses."

Using tracking information from the suspects' monitoring devices, police linked one of the same suspects to another violent carjacking that happened Saturday on Uptown on Newcomb Boulevard. In that case, a 50-year-old woman reported being approached by three young men as she parked in her driveway.

She told police one of the assailants pistol-whipped her and the suspects fled with her purse and her 2008 silver Volvo.

This is without a doubt the white mans fault. Had the dirty judges not given those sweet boys the devices, then this wouldn't even be an issue

They've got the wrong people.

Two 16 year old kids wouldn't be out that late on a school night.

They should just put high fences around NO, give people a month to leave if they so choose, then lock and guard the gates. Just let them have it and keep the innocent people out of it. Jesus.

At least they aren't very bright. Committing crimes while something is actively tracking you is pretty fricking dumb.

But on the other (sad) hand, it goes to show you who we are dealing with. They just don't care about other people's lives.

Worse, they don't care about their own. They don't care if they have to go to prison because they get three free meals a day and they know half the inmates, anyways.

When I was in high school, I used to live in Sulphur. I remember Dominos quit delivering to the Mossville area for awhile because of all the robberies that had occurred there. That was back in the late 80's/early 90s. I wonder, can they still do things like that... refuse to deliver in certain areas due to high crime rates? Or, do they deliver anyway out of fear of the company being labeled as discriminatory?

Tragic.

Before we make this racial, why and how in the world were these criminals roaming around aimlessly without not being tagged now by NOPD?

That should be alarming for any of us because that'd mean non of use are safe.

Tragic. Hurts my heart to read this...parents and a shitty juvenile system failed these kids. And they failed themselves

bullshite. The genetic cesspool that these miscreants crawled out of is the failure. Someone should put birth control in the water supply down there.
