Just watched Capt America 2 - a few things I didn't like (Spoilers)

The one thing I really liked was the introduction of "The Falcon".
What I didn't like was the absents of other characters. I know it was not an "Avengers" movie, but you would think during the fall of SHIELD, Ironman, Hulk, or The Hawk would have at least been called on. I always figured the Blackwidow and the Hawk were a team, working together when it comes to SHIELD.
I can understand Ironman not being there because of the latest IM movie. I don't know why Hulk was not called on. Dr Banner seems to be the most trustworthy member of the Avengers (not sure of the Hulk).
Who will be the next Avenger character introduced?
Is Tony Stark no longer the Ironman or did he just rid the generator in his chest and will still use the generators in the suits?
At the end of Ironman 3, he signs a letter "The Mechanic". The mechanic is a character from the Avengers. According to Wiki, he is a weapons dealer (same lines as Tony) but they didn't say his name.

In the Avenger's sequel we will see Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Mockingbird is scheduled to appear on Agents of Shield this season I believe.
They didn't want to use Winter Soldier as an Avengers venue because they are filming and readying that film for release as we write. It will feature Ultron as the villian.
P.S. It's Hawkeye FYI

Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Vision will all be in Avengers 2

He will be in Avengers 2 as well.

Yep. Forgot about Vision. I think Paul Bettany will be very good in the role.

Works for War Machine. Did Pepper even need a power source to shoot at the end of Iron Man 3?

He's still iron man.

Ok, but it did have CA, Blackwidow, Nick Fury, and The Falcon in it, all members of the Avengers. Plus, I am guessing the nurse/neighbor will become some kind of Avenger, because they paid way too much attention to her at the end of the movie.
BTW, I just thought about it, is there an Easter egg after the credits, I forgot to look.

Nick Fury isn't an Avenger. The Falcon also isn't an Avenger at this time.
The only Avengers in this movie are CA and Blackwidow.
Also, why is the complaint always "where were the other Avengers? Wouldn't they come running?"
Do people really have a problem with that in the standalone movies?

She was mainly CA's love interest.

Just finished it myself. Great movie. Loved just having captain American in it with no other avengers besides black widow. I'm still laughing at nick furys headstone, the path of the righteous man. Nice little nod to pulp fiction.

If you want to get this detailed you HAVE to take into account the timeline. The "battle" or "situation," wasn't really public or in the position of having people called in until..... SPOILERS
Cap, Falcon and Widow meet Fury in the dam. Until that time everyone is on the run, trying to piece things together, captured, trying to stay hidden, etc.
Therefore, there's maybe 3-4 hours of time to get others involved, not really enough given Project Insights launch.
This kind of criticism can hold up for some movies, but they deliberately put things in the way-- Iron Man 3 being isolated, Thor Dark World taking place mostly in other dimensions, Winter Soldier having an extremely truncated timeline of interaction. Even Winter Soldier overall takes places in under 3 days. From Fury going down and Cap REALLY needing help, he starts out captured and on the run.
Apparently they will address Hawkeye's absence in AoU. He was off doing Hawkeye things.

Bro.
Oh, and while the Falcon has been in the Avengers, he started out as a Captain America sidekick and that was his primary role for a very long time. Heck, the book used to be called Captain America and The Falcon.

Falcon was awful. Probably the worst character in the MCU thus far. He added nothing.

I'm kind of digging the Falcon. His suit was a little raw and will get boosted up (maybe by Tony).

Stark Industries built the wings from CA2.

I was never a comic book reader, but I am loving all these Avengers' movies.
I am not a fan of any other superhero movies, Batman, Superman, X-Men, and Fantastic 4.
