As for WS, I don't recall him ever being CA.

It was a good run Scruff. I'd link you to some trades but I'm on mobile.

got off message boards, but still check out this board from time to time. Not to say I was right about everything, but I remember a few of us (you included) saying before the start of Phase 2 that CA:TWS was going to be the best film and GotG was going to be right there with it. I'm sure you can guess how much I liked DFOP. TASM2 was a clear sign that you can't do universe building through one movie alone, and the studio cut too much of the plot out it. That being said, Andrew Garfield defines the role.

Spot on brutha. GotG and CA2 met our high expectations, went to the next level and still blew us away.

Don't be a stranger.

Cool. I've been meaning to get back into comics, haven't read anything in a couple months. My iPad died and I haven't charged it because of lazy.

How they ever pulled off bringing back Bucky of all people is amazing. He was probably the main exception to the "nobody ever stays dead" comic phenomenon. (I think Uncle Ben and maybe Jason Todd were thrown in there but I think they've probably been brought back too). I guess good enough writing can overcome even something like ret-conning Bucky's death that had to piss a lot of people off.

That's what became official in my mind when they pulled this off.

What's even more surprising to me, is that fan's had built up such a resistance over the years to even the possibility of Bucky coming back, that the backlash was already built up and ready to happen and what Brubaker wrote was so good that it even overcame that.

Oh and Jason Todd did come back. What's that you ask? How did they do it?

Exactly. That was a hell of an accomplishment. I admit I was very leery that they would bring Bucky back.

If I remember right, there was some thought out there that Scourge was going to turn out to be Bucky back when Scourge was killing Thunderbolts. (turned out to be '50's Bucky Jack Monroe I think). That may have greased the skids a bit when they actually brought him back.

At least the movie didn't have all those decades of fan memory to overcome when they brought him back.
