Our premiums have increased fro 642 to 1062 a month for next year for our current plan. My wife's company contracted out to Aon Hewitt which runs a corporate exchange. I thought ACA was supposed to help keep premiums down?

That extra 400 dollars you are paying is going to the poster "Rex", who waited till the exchanges opened to buy health insurance because he knew he was getting a subsidy.

Are you implying that premiums are going up? Obama said they would go down and repeated such ad nauseum to get elected:

quote:

"I will sign a universal health care bill into law by the end of my first term as president that will cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family's premium by up to $2,500 a year."

Oh, but then Politifact said this about Obama's promise:

quote:

An independent health care analyst projects that premiums will go up for the typical family… We rate this a Promise Broken.

1062-642=420

420/642=65.4% increase from prior year.

Or if you are a complete dumbass take 642 *1.65. That equals 1,060.

His math is fine, FT.

(1062-642)/642=0.65

x 100=

65%

Maybe this is why the liberals believed Obama, they can't do math.
