Least amount of money you've charged on a debit and/or credit card?

Went to the Astros game today and paid the $.50 cost for the parking meter on my debit card. Didn't have change on me. Don't really carry cash anymore. I'm O-T poor if that matters

I was at a restaurant with buddies, and wasn't eating. I didn't have cash, but I ordered a Dr. Pepper and it was like $1.50.

Forgot change at the post office one day and had to buy a stamped envelope with debit card.

I bought a soda at a vending machine the other day with my debit card, so $1.50.

Why would this be weird?

I'm currently in a city that doesn't have my local bank, so I use CVS as my ATM. Buy a banana for like 50 cents and get 50 cash back.

I think this applies to me. The after hours machine took only change or a card and I had bills so I had to use the card.

Had a dollar minimum for the card, IIRC, so I bought three stamps for $1.35 or whatever it came out to at the time.

Same. In fact, the only time I use my debit is to get cash back like this to avoid ATM fees. Credit Card for everything else for the points.

I had a coworker who had a personal mission to confront store owners who had minimum charges. Especially at convenience stores.

Once he had a camera on and told the cashier that he would accept Visa for his 58 cent purchase or he would send the video to Visa to notify them of his breach of contract. He said the dude started yelling at him in Arabic and chased him out the store.

Like a week later, Visa announced that they would allow minimum charges. A lot of places don't have minimum charges on debit since those transactions are dirt cheap now-a-days.

I've paid for a soft drink at Target with a debit card. No shame in that. I don't carry cash around with me.

The post office doesn't have minimums so I've definitely done less than $1 on a credit card there before

Today in matter of fact. I purchased a 44 oz fountain water from on the run for .79 cents. Yes water and not coke!

Definitely charge just a dollar before. Nothing less than that.

0.50 as well...

Needed to park somewhere to drop off forms and the machine wouldn't take dimes and nickels for some reason. Minimum 50 cent charge...so yup.
