16 freshmen have played so far. Others will soon. Message...if you are good enough to hit the field, you will. Come get an early start as a Tiger, the SEC team with more alumni in the NFL than any other.

Expect ole Les to be a top recruiter for some time to come.

I remember when Lester played upperclassman over freshman. Boy have times changes. College football has gone the way of college basketball. Seems to work for Kentucky U/LSU U.Hey it works so

Better be. Coaches could either sulk about it or make it work for them.

Classic case of turning lemons into lemonade. And it is some damn tasty lemonade, in my opinion.

Clearly, LSU has basically turned into an NFL placement program.

Still sucks.

Do we want to win championships or win the award for team who sends most players to the NFL.

LSU hasn't proven you can win both.
Only answer I know is try to persuade underclassman to stick around another year.

You don't think coaches try to talk kids out of it?

There are some changes to take place this beginning this coming draft that should stem the flood of late round risky exits.

I'm sure they do.
Hasn't seem to work has it though?

Maybe they should try harder

The new rules will help too bad they weren't in effect
Five or six years ago.

Hard for us to say without knowing the family, financial, and scholastic circumstances of the players. And no one knows those things better than the players and coaches.

Let's not forget that even in the best of off the field circumstances, some players simply need to leave after their 3rd year, to strike while the iron's hot.

I get what your saying, but only problem I see is that there seems to be more hot irons in BR than anywhere else in America.

A lot more.

No. We turned it into a recruiting tool three years ago.

So LSU hasn't won the sec CHAMPIONSHIP or the bcs CHAMPIONSHIP during this time we've became an NFL factory? Because I believe they have.
