I am not a big follower of TA but if you are:

quote:

Potential upside of 263.8% exists for Energy XXI Bermuda, based on a current level of $7.31 and analysts' average consensus price target of $26.59. The stock should run into initial resistance at its 50-day moving average (MA) of $14.60 and subsequent resistance at its 200-day MA of $20.80.

Poorly managed deepwater projects anyway

No doubt, project management plays a big role, but that is only one part of the problem.

quote:

The combination of demand for drilling rigs, specialty materials such as sophisticated steel pipes and competition for skilled workers are pushing up costs for all involved

this is from one of the articles I read about the cost impacts on deepwater projects LINK

You're gonna be very happy in a couple of months in my opinion.

Still kicking myself for locking in my bottom limit order at 6 instead of 6.50, but maybe this stock has another big dip left in it

How are you guys feeling about EXXI today?

I took a large position yesterday and my shares were sold because my stop limit was reached. I'm kind of gun shy now, but I think this stock is under valued. I'd like to take another position.

I'm all in on it...but I am in no way a professional. (I pay a guy for this)

I feel good about it.

This stock definitely has everyone's attention because a lot of people are talking about it. However, during lunch with a client yesterday (who works for another shelf E&P), he said they are waiting for EXXI to go belly up. I don't know if he was just saying that as a joke because the stock has tanked so much or if they really feel that way. He would be considered an "industry insider" in my book. I don't know what to think. They are definitely over leveraged and have a TON of P&A liability.

That's popular talk in the industry. I think you'll see the mgmt team replaced first.

Back below 7 today... Saw two tweets on stocktwits:

quote:

convenient "early retirements" of 53 year old CFO & SVP of Investor Relations spell more trouble ahead for $EXXI shareholders.

Goldman smashing prices on WTI and downgrading Energy names. If they are Band of Bankruptcy Brothers are done. $EXXI $SD $AREX $OIH

Any truth to the first one? I could not find anything. The second one is from a constant basher, so take it FWIW.

Anybody out there still buying?

If you mean the CFO stepping down then you must not have looked very hard.
