Is it just me or is Season 1, one of the most underrated seasons of all time?

Show started by long time 24 exes, gets more advertising on fox than any other show during that period, was highly entertaining and got accolades through the entire first season from fans and reviewers...
all seasons after 1 sucks balls + 5 years later = 1st season has now somehow become underrated...?!?!?!?!

I dont remember all of the advertising. Nor do I remember the accolades.

I am watching this show right now for the first time. I am almost finished season 3.
Season 1 was absolutely incredible.

It came on after Heroes which also had similar accolades, and also fell off after season one.
Both were affected by the writers strike.

like many shows I watch, I saw it after the fact. I have yet to watch the final season. It kept me coming back, but even crappy shows do that.

I enjoyed Season 1 as much as any show I've seen. Season 2 was still good IMO. Season 3 on was an absolute joke. The finale was even worse.

I like to joke that the Walking Dead got the idea of a female lead to drag down the series from this show.
