Guys I hate to be a buzz kill but those are authentic NBA basketballs.. I have one. They cost $129 a pop retail. To me, that means that it wasn't his teammates who organically thought of this so they stopped at the Wal Mart in Harahan to clear out the sporting goods section, but some Saints or Pelicans PR guy... Some interns obviously just pulled the balls from the Pelicans facility.

You'd be incorrect. It was actually Brees and the QBs behind it and they got the balls from the Pelicans facility and the dog from(iirc) a team assistant(not for Galette to keep). They also had Rhianna music playing.

Great story behind the meaning. Really rings true as to why we have all been so fond of him since his arrival. His enthusiasm for the game and the organization...and City has been evident since his arrival.
