Looking for a good gun for under a grand. I have a Benelli pump now. Looking for an auto so I can hand this pump to my son.

I really like the new Franchi Affinity.

Check other post , been a few lately . I like my beretta outlander . Handles better then my stoeger 3500 . Both well under $ 1,000 .

I like the beretta but the camo franchi looks more rugged. I wish I could test shoot the franchi. I hate taking chances on guns without shooting

I wish I could lone it to you but it is an out-of-town family member's.

Franchi Affinity is the best value.
But, I recently got a Benelli Montefeltro, and I freaking love it.

There's a remington versa max in the academy sales paper for $750. With no tax this weekend it would probably be a good time to pick it up. I've never shot one so I don't know how good they are.

Affinity, outlander, in that order.
If you don't mind sparing a few bucks, Maxus hunter.
Versamax is not a 'bad' gun mechanically. But you can definitely tell the build quality is not as good as beretta or franchi.

No doubt about it

I'd give the Beretta A300 a hard look if it fits you; no way I'd buy a Franchi or Stoeger before giving that one a shot. Benelli M2 is a great one too but think they're over 1K

Just picked up an 1100 few months ago. Great shooter, and not bad to look at either. Piece of Americana, there.

I have an 11-87. It's been great.

Franchi >>>>> Stoeger
Franchi >= A300
Own(ed) them both. The Affinity is every bit the gun as the Outlander, and better in some ways.

They are a little bit. I wonder if they would go on sale soon? A 10% off would get it right at 1k.
