what transactions get us a kicker?

Im trying to figure it out in my head.
Do we IR someone on the current 53 or waive someone on the 53 that is practice squad eligible and if they clear cut a current PS player to sign.

Obviously shopped. Lorig died before he even signed with us. Yes Loomis is signing dead guys. Remember when everyone thought Butler was a real living person? That one pic of "him" and Rob was really Rob's personal "arse"istant.

Why did we not keep a kicker? It's weird. I thought both played well so to cut both of them is strange.

The reason is in my post. You can't IR someone with the designation to return until tomorrow. Cutting the kicker allows us to keep everyone else we want and hold on to the guy we want to designate until the time comes.
And if one of our kickers gets picked up(doubtful now) then I think they have enough confidence in either guy to go with plan b.

I just keep watching this video of Doug Martin in the I-formation, where he follows #41 Lorig for big gains, and I can't help but think what Lorig can do for Robinson/Ingram.
Lorig looks phenomenal blocking in the I-form. And Doug Martin is no fool. He simply follows Lorig where ever he goes because he knows a lane will be open.
I like Johnson, but I just haven't seen this level of blocking from him enough to dismiss a 6-4, 250 pound former TE in Lorig who is a proven blocker and pass catcher.
