Against UGa.

Now I don't want to rain on the parade, but given reality of an SECCG, exactly how does that #1 UGa vs #4LSU scenario arise?

Georgia beats Bama in the SEC Championship game giving us the 4 spot. Can you imagine the Gump meltdown?

We have one loss against Auburn (before our team really fully comes together), UGA goes undefeated (giving Auburn one loss), and then UGA beats Auburn again.

LSU finishes 11-1 UGA 13-0. If our team is good enough to go 11-1 with our schedule, I see no reason why we shouldn't get in the playoffs. I mean, considering Bama got in over a 1 loss Ok St, I don't see why not.

IMO

Oklahoma (Texas not ready, Baylor QB has back issues, Tech has no defense)

FSU (they may have one loss, but I think they get back on track)

Michigan State (beats Oregon, Michigan, OSU)

UGA (that front 7 is nasty, Pruitt's secondary might be legit, Gurley and co. are unstoppable, and once they get JSW, and Mitchell back, look out)

My dark horses are LSU and USC

guys who just miss the cut are Oregon and Auburn

If some things go our way, we might at least make a big bowl game

This scenario only works if LSU beats bama in regular season.

Let's first see how they play in the next few games...let's show some consistency first before we start talking play-offs! lol

I do. I fully expect that each of the four teams in the playoff will be champions of their conference. FSU, Georgia/A&M, Oregon/UCLA and Oklahoma. Big Ten gets left out and cries.

Well Chizik had the same scenario with UGA at 3 and Bama at 4? SECCG loser gets in too? Wish they would explain their reasoning

Georgia v LSU

So, which one won the SEC CG?

And was the other the 2nd team in their div or the loser of the CG getting through anyway?

I wanna know!

Chiz and Wojo aren't on the Committee. The Committee is diverse and political. What do politicians try to do: please everybody. Given recruiting and coaching talent, it could very well be the case that 3 of the top 4 teams reside in the SEC West, but they would NEVER do that.

You have 5 power conferences plus Notre Dame. That means already at least one conference is going to be pissed. Do you really think they will piss off two of the conferences that empowered them in the first year of this?

It will be the SEC Champ, the Pac-12 Champ and two of the Big XII Champ, the ACC Champ and the Big Ten Champ (with Oklahoma and FSU shoo ins if they win their conference).

BTW, I'm going with the following:

UGA undefeated SEC champs

LSU undefeated, loses to UGA in SECCG.

1 loss Bama gets in playoffs.

1- UGA
2- FSU
3- Bama
4- LSU

LSU beats Bama in the M(?)NC.

Sweeeeeeeeeeet!

This isn't the BCS. The selection process will be executed by a committee that is comprised mostly of individuals having no SEC bias whatsoever. I would be very surprised if the playoff didn't involve teams from 4 different conferences. Only one SEC team will make it. Deserve don't have anything to do with it.
