Fishing with Pisces or Redrum if you like to fish. Most restaurants along the marina are pretty good. Mi Casa is close to cabo wabo, really good authentic mexican place. All the bars are about the same, if you want to party you will probably have to pay a cover (pink kitty, senior frogs, etc.) but there are plenty of bars you can walk in to get a beer. Everything around downtown is walking distance and pretty safe. Wish I could tell you the names of some more restaurants but I drink a lot. I remember Mi Casa because I have been there twice and it never disappoints.

Was just about to come add the office, if you want to do a beach party the mango deck is a good place to hang out and get some drinks during the day.

Eat at Salvatore's, and have drinks at Sunset Da Mona Lisa one evening. We also rented jeeps and drove up to Todos Santos and checked out Hotel California and you can eat across the street at Tequila Sunrise. Always a great time in Cabo!

Totally agree with Mi Casa's. Edith's and La Golondrina (formerly known as The Trailer Park) are both excellent restaurants, pricey but worth it.

Has anyone on here recently been anywhere in or near Cabo that they felt unsafe?

Friends went last year and they said no. But loved their resort and only went to The Office (I think) once.

If you are an idiot you can get into some shite anywhere. I was just wondering. I am NOT a Mexico hater. been three times. Cancun twice for a week and Cozumel once (cruise so does not count). All of this was before the KNOWN violence.

Cabo is even safer than Cancun. It's isolated as hell from the drug wars, and their income is almost entirely derived from tourism. They're not going to frick with you down there.

That was my thought.

Even Cancun I would still probably go to for an event I was invited to. Wedding etc. But I would believe my days of going into Old Cancun City for $1 beer are over. I would be scared there.
