So I'll just offer up my "opinion".

1. AJ will be the quarterback this year. Nothing about Les's devotion to a player or BH's ability, AJ can be the star. Take away the fact that it was against a great caliber team, he made the plays when needed. Those nasty screens will get worked out. It was truly a testament to rally this team in the second half.

2. LSU's secondary is legit. End of discussion. They made this game one dimensional to allow the defense to shut down the run. RR coming back(if and when) will be a huge boost.

3. Offensive line is good, but not as magnificent as thought to be. They showed their true potential in the second half and what they can do, but first game of the season we can see the potential. Will help AJ/BH develop.

4. DL will be a major test. While Wiscy has a great OLine/RB it's nothing LSU won't see all season. I saw some major shifts and filling of the A gap which helped slow down the run. As I predicted, Chief always kept a linebacker "spy" near the LOS almost as a fifth DL. This play will need to get better when LSU faces a two dimensional team.

5. WR's are legit. Trey Quinn looked the part. Dural picked up where he left off and Diarse is good as advertised. The thing I really liked the most was there run blocking.

6. Don't discount the TE play. While a dropped pass made it look bad, it happens. They will be instrumental to the success of the offense. Blocking they looked good and they had holes in the zone. Contrary to belief, they looked good.

7. Linebackers are fast but will essentially be a crutch for the DL till the line strengthens up. Welter, Beckwith, and co looked strong and made several plays. Filled the gaps to stop the run. As a former MLB they looked good.

8. RB. I know LF looked subpar, but it really isn't so. His influence in the game was so obvious. Poor screen passes hurt his perception. He had a few good runs. But his insertion isn't the game was completely obvious. He needs to be out there for more than just one run play. TM and KH looked strong.

9. Coaching. CLM and CCC had a gameplan in the first half. It didn't succeed. At half, they readjusted and won the game. Something I haven't seen in a long time at LSU. I'm glad that they can change the gameplan based on the flow of the game. I had no doubt that Chief would do it. He has done so as long as he's been at LSU and throughout his entire coaching career. I have faith that this coaching staff will find an identify for this team. I have high hopes.

All in all, I rate today as a B. Not because of the win, but because of the adjustment. It's real level headed and smart coaching. I'm excited going toward. I love that we get three weeks to prepare for Cow College. Work out the kinks. Celebrate tonight my brethren.

No. I stayed level headed the whole game albeit it drunk. As stated, it's my opinion. I do know a tad about football. I liked what I saw. While some of it was ugly, it was no where near as ugly as I saw from other teams.

Hey. I was better than Welter!
Ha. Completely kidding. I got destroyed against the talent
I went up against. Too small. Defense will only get better with time. So pumped for them

I agree. As I've stated before this post, a lot of this falls on the DL to close the gaps and the the LBs to make a play. Other side of things, MG is just the real deal. Although we already knew that. Plus, Anderson and co. are idiots in the second half.

Your analysis is akin to a parent's on his child. Lol

Not going to pick it apart, but I'll address The TE position comments.

It's apparent that TE will block, period. Desean Smith may not see a significant pass in an SEC game. A drop is bad, but when you commit to only catching the ball when it's in stride by stopping your feet and squaring your chest up to use in the catch and still drop it, there's some issues that may never get resolved. Lol

Dickson's critical fumble only seals the deal.

There was nothing in tonight's game to indicate that LSU will plan to utilize the TE in the passing game.

I agree with most of it, except the TE's and the MLBs. I think the TE's will be fine. DT's only had 5 total tackles inc assits, but I think only 3 played in the base 4-3, we need help there...where was FH...staff bragged on him, don't think he played.

TE play hurt us. Dickson's fumble hurt. I actually played football with him. And was in school with his brother. Irrelevant. His fumble was necessarily his fault. Good defensive play. Got to hang on to the ball. They'll work on the ball. 2012 WRs dropped more balls than girls. 2013 they were elite. I still foresee a turnaround. Call it ignorance. :)

LBs saved this game defensively. Rewatch it tomorrow.

Disagree here. They really didn't look good, but I was also disappointed that we seemed to give up on using the TE's so easily.

5 guys can't block the 10 men that Wisky was putting in the box.

I liked our adjustments as well. This team is young and full of potential. This was a good punch in the mouth for these young guys who might have thought the uniform guaranteed a win. Props to Wisconsin btw.

Not sure when the last comeback that big was, but SC gave an amazing stat...we have a winning record under Miles when TRAILING in the the 4th quarter. That's insane, but shows the heart and moxy of these Tiger teams over the years

Starchild that stat is amazing, but the rant will say it's because LSU plays down to the lesser opponents. This thought has crossed my mind as well, but this game was different. Great comeback against a solid team and program that was making LSU look like crap on both sides of the ball for over a half.

No. "Real" football analysis is when you break down specifics such as scheme, counter plays, gap responsibility etc.... you're just speaking from a normal ad hoc point of view in generalities. A little presumptuous of you.

Hence why LSU fans have a shorter life span or less hair on their heads.
