What a stupid opener. The game started at 7:00 in the fricking morning here int he states?
I just don't get why the UCF/Penn State Game was played in Ireland.

Penn St has a bowl ban (or did at time of scheduling) so they can sell this game abroad to recruits.

How else would penn st get 10,000,000 eyeballs on an otherwise pedestrian game against UCF?
And prolly 2nd most watched game in UCF history.
Seems pretty self explanatory to me.

The same reason Bama had that string of games in Hawai'i.

I liked waking up and having a football game on, don't even need to watch Gameday

Last year was one thing, with Notre Dame (Irish and Catholics).
If Boston College or some other Catholic school was there, it would make sense.
But two public universities? Are there that many people of Irish descent in Happy Valley or Orlando?
