The local gym is now offering this and is having a demo day of sorts next Saturday. Is anyone familiar with this type of workout/class? Figure I may give it a shot since it is free this time, have to pay an extra $20/month I think to utilize it in the future.

Isn't it just a burpees til you die type of class?

Not sure, will find out. But the strength is supposed to be using weights and equipment

HIIT is legit if fat loss is your goal

Used to do it at the local Y, really liked it. It was just 30 minutes and they were always integrating new exercises - kept it from getting boring. $20 seems high, but it's a good workout.

You can just buy the workout online if you like the demo

Just do Tabata training. It's free.
Sprint 20 seconds
Rest 10 seconds
Repeat this 8 times. There's a free App you can download to keep track of your sets, and tells you when to sprint then rest.
