Can't go with a money is no object approach.. B/c those scenarios always yield a yes..
I'm talking having to save up or borrow loot , just to have a pair of these bad boys in the house..@ $239,000/pair speaker

No. They look awesome, but you can get comparable sound quality for $100k less.

Oh I'm sure..
The lone comment from the review ..

That typo made it look like these cost $239,000/pair. I mean really, a home, a Lamborghini, a Cessna or 2 BMW M6's with Bang & Olufsen sound systems or these. Truly funny.

FIFY
The people most likely to buy those speakers are least likely to hear the difference between those and something for a 20th of the price.

If I was filthy rich, would I buy an exotic car for $239k? Absolutely. Speakers for $239k? No and that's coming from a guy who loves high end audio equipment.

They would make for a interesting conversation piece at dinner parties though..

Should look at the JBL Project Everest DD66000's. for only $60,000-$70,000 (depending on the finish) you can have absurd quality.

I won't suggest that these are comparably beautiful, but they are most definitely going to be comparable in terms of sound and get comparable amounts of questions/spark the same amount of dinner conversations:
or
...and, of course, many others had in the $20,000 or so range.
Heck, the quality would be off, but even these little guys would make people who don't know high-end audio ask questions while costing you under $2K and giving, at worst, very decent sound (though it may not be your "flavor"):

No, the guy who bought them would think it was interesting, but nobody else in the world.

I've listened to Dynaudio Evidence Temptations fairly extensively. I can't imagine a better sounding speaker. Soundstage was pristine. You could place every instrument. Last I heard they were $40k a pair.

I have heard the Estelon Diamonds ($65k) with the ceramic drivers and they were pretty damn good. They were driven with Constellation Audio amps and Pre ($145k). They will easily fill a large room.
The amplifiers in the pic with the red Wilson Audio speakers are Pathos Adrenaline mono blocs. They are tube hybrids that push 200 watts apiece. Of all the amps out there--those are the ones that do it for me. Only problem is they are now pushing $70k!

...and if I had the scratch to blow, I would just move on up the line of my current Focal Utopia to the Grand Utopia ($180k). They are truly stunning, especially when listening to full blown orchestras or pipe organ.
There was a pair of Focal Grand Utopia EM on AudioGon last week for $79k....hmmmm.

I heard them just simply bi-wired (not bi-amped) through a Krell 400wpc Class A solid state amp (I don't know the model number, but I do know that those specs are wildly unusual and there's only one amp I know of that fits that description) and could only say the same thing. My goal in life is to own them.
I've been invited back to hear his replacements for them- the Wilson Sashas in the other picture i put up there- but I haven't found the time to make it over. He claims they're better(/he prefers them).

Are y'all saying these speakers are costing 70 THOUSAND dollars? And cheaper ones are 20 THOUSAND dollars.
You can't be serious. No fricking way. That's absurd.
