Your thought s on picking up RG 3 or Carson Palmer as a backup in a PPR league, or perhaps Big Ben .

I got disconnected from my auction draft and it auto bid for me. Got him for $2 and I'm still not sure whether or not I'm happy about that. He's looked like shite all preseason.

I would take RG3 as a backup. Take the potential upside

RG3 will be fine. Bad offseason doesn't necessarily relate to bad season. Remember they are implementing a new system. He has tons of weapons and a wide open offense. He'll be a top 8 QB.

Why specifically in a PPR? You expecting RG3 to get a ton of receptions?

One of my buddies drafted him 6th overall! I just laughed. He said that with all the weapons he has now he's goin to be a beast. I said yeah, but you could've gotten him in the damn 5th or 6th.

This is the same draft that I got Charles in the 5 spot and Lacy in the second round ( )

Brees, Manning, Rodgers, Stafford, and RG 3 all went in the first.

Carson Palmer will be a quality fantasy back-up. With Fitzgerald and Floyd he could put up Kurt Warner type numbers.

I would take him as a backup. I'm not a big fan and think he will find himself on the bench by the end of the year. He can't make reads past the first option and will never be a good pocket QB. Unless he's running enough to overcome his lack of skills in the pass game, he's bench material.

I wouldn't touch RG3 with a 10 foot pole.
