Normally I shoot Estate 3" 1 3/8oz #2's and #4's.

I am looking at some Rio Royal Bluesteel that a friend I know can get at wholesale.

Anyone have any experience with them? Opinions?

Rio has been marginally ok for me. not great, but all rounds do go "bang" in some fashion, just not as consistently as other brands.

Winchester xpert 3" 1 1/4 oz #2
$110 a case
Rio's are great shells, ran quite a few cases thru my beretta with zero malfunctions, I quit using due to increase in price

hijack warning: bps has/had 100 count boxes on sale this am for $20. so i go over there to pick up 12 ga for me and 20 ga for mack jr #1. the shelf advertisement said limit 2 per customer. some goofy 50+ yr old guy dressed up in full boy scout uniform bought ALL the 12 gauge they had right as i'm walking in. i'm looking at the cashier like "wtf?" and she tells me that bps gives the boy scout's some sort of break.

I will be right at $110 a case. Actually paying 10.69 per box w/ no freight charge or sales tax.

I will shoot them and see.

Federal Classic 3" 1 1/4oz #4, a buddy of mine and I tried the Rio and were very disappointed. I have a case left I refuse to shoot unless I am in a bind.
