When did our society become such babies. People can no longer tolerate an opposing view point. Nowadays if you disagree with someone you are instantly called something derogatory in an effort to discredit anything you say from the beginning. Personally I think it comes from cowardice. People are terrified to actually have a civil conversation with someone for fear that they might be proved wrong or maybe have weaknesses in their views exposed. This is also related to how we as a society now think it is our constitutional right to never have our feelings hurt so heaven forbid you even twitch in the direction of a comment that may include what someone doesn't want to hear, regardless of how true it may or may not be. Sorry this got so long but damn.

or if you believe assault weapons shouldn't be carried into Target and a woman should decide what to do with her body - you would be called a flaming commie liberal pinko on this board - shite cuts both ways - just not in the deep red south.

It's a liberal template. Define your position as reasonable/moderate, then all opposing viewpoints are, by definition, unreasonable/extreme.

I posted it to show a stereotypical liberal response to someone that disagrees with them. She automatically accused them of being racist and other things a few seconds in the video.

The difference being that, while you may be called those things by a few on a conservative board, you would be heralded as a forward thinker in the national media. It cuts both ways, but one is with a butter knife.

It's the tactic used by those who are guided by emotions. Liberals mostly guide by emotion and when you challenge them on their viewpoint they are mostly shocked that you disagree with them. And their natural response is to call you names. Like spoiled children.
