If they like a nice Pinot Noir, Belle Glos Las Asturas or Clark and Telephone are very high quality wines that will meet your price point.

Can be had at Calandros or Whole Foods or Martins

2009 Silver Oak Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley

Usually about $60. Great wine.

For some cheaper alternatives in the $20-30 range:

Justin Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Or

Decoy Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Bear Is Dead,

Frank Family Cab is a great crowd pleaser. Hard to offend anyone with that.

Can't go wrong with Silver Oak. But may be a bit over your price range depending on store.

I like silver oak, I just dont love it at those prices.

Its aged in 100% American oak, so it has a strong vanilla flavor. Some people really like that about silver oak, its just not my fav flavor profile.

It does age extremely well. When I toured SO, we got to taste the older vintages and man it ages like a champ. 05 and 07 napa cabs were fantastic.
