I heard many say "turtles" was better than expected. I just saw GotG Friday and really enjoyed it.

Most at theater seemed to be going to Turtles.

TMNT is no GotG, but well deserving of the love it is receiving!

true, but the film far exceeded expectations. They were projecting about 40mil for the film this weekend.

$65 million doesn't even seem like that big of an opening these days when you see most big summer tentpole films opening with 80+.

I just don't care for Bay is all but between the success of the new Transformers and now TMNT it's obvious I am in the minority.

Unfortunately no one cares which movie had the bigger month. Guardians is no longer the #1 movie in America, which is what matters for marketing.

Guardians will still make more $$ when it's all said and done.. Don't understand why Ninja Turtles bothers so many people on this board.

It's a Michael Bay thing. I've seen more people on this board that liked TMNT than liked Transformers 4. And I've seen people who did not like Transformers 4 that liked TMNT, including me.

Michael Bay might get more credit as a producer than anyone else in Hollywood.

Except maybe that time Chris Nolan produced a Superman film.

Good. As much as I don't like Michael bay movies. Marvel's movies are the definition of soulless

High standards you got there bro.

I like Transformers 4 more than getting kicked in the balls. This is how we compare things now?
