Just to clear it up....these companies will still be taxed on all income derived in the us. All this talk about the horrors of companies relocating is just a scare tactic. That is all.

While I understand your premise, I have to play devils advocate and then ask why are they even relocating?

If the corporate home office is located in the US are they taxed on all income even that made in foreign lands? If so then that is the reason for the move.

Exactly. A us corp is taxed on their worldwide income at us corp tax rates. If they relocate, they are only taxed on income derived in the us. The dems are mad that the worldwide income may not be subject to to tax here at home.

Why do we even have corporate taxes? They are stupid, and simply a deceptive practice to make people think that big, evil corporations are paying taxes for them so they won't have to.

People pay taxes and corporations are people according to the supreme court. If a corporation has civil rights the same as a real person, should they not be taxed in the same manner as a real life breathing person?

Corporations are now free to invest millions into the body politic. It would be representation without taxation to let them off the hook.

In terms of those political contributions, please differentiate for us the ramifications of drastically reduced corporate taxes vs maintaining the current rates, i.e., the highest corporate rates in the world. I'm curious as to the difference.

The corporate tax equation basically comes down to (1) appearances vs (2) achievement.
(1) Keep up appearances -- tax hell out of evil companies, and run them off.
(2) Achieve tax revenue escalation thru increased employment and an improved economy by leaving those evil corporations alone to employ, improve, prosper, and return home.

I posted this earlier this week on another thread on this topic.

Amongst the adults in DC there is deep concern of the affects of Inversion.

This was a committee hearing led by Ron Wyden D, of Oregon. The ranking member is Orrin Hatch. Just listening to their opening remarks should illustrate the disadvantages the US faces by having a high corporate tax rate.

Instead of looking for a way to make the code more competitive, Obama and the Radicals of his party seek only to punish.

One more example of how higher taxation ultimately cost revenue. As simple as it is, the dumbasses can't fully grasp it.

Step 1: 15% US tax rate. Step2: dont tax income
earned overseas. Step 3: never elect liberals again!

No. We get it. To maximize corporate tax revenue we need to eliminate corporate taxes. Duh. That's why Ireland has the highest corporate tax revenue of any nation on the planet.

You can't think of a single instance in which raising them is acceptable - the logical limit is thus zero.
