When Green Bay (Matt Flynn) plays Tennessee (Zach Mettenberger) it may be the first time ever two former LSU quarterbacks have faced off against each other in a NFL game.

I don't know but if it is the first time but this could be history in the making and the answer to a future trivia question.

Pretty cool though. I hope Mett wins the starting job for the Titans.

You highly doubt that this is the first NFL game that had LSU QB's playing for opposing teams?

If so, which game did have two LSU QB's?

Would love to see it but don't think it is being broadcast live. Will have to wait for the NFL Network replay.

I think he meant a game where they go neck and neck, or actually see the field and get in the game. Not just an LSU QB on each team.

It'll make a cool anecdote, but because it is preseason I doubt it will get much buzz.

It won't be shown live, FYI the replay is at 8AM tomorrow on NFLN.

Craig Nall and Jamarcus Russell played each other in 2007.

Good find. I figured that Bert Jones had a pretty good chance of playing another LSU Q-back in the pros because he had a fairly long career.

YA Tittle had a long career but I don't know if there were many other ex LSU quarterbacks in the pros back then for him to meet up against.

Yeah, I got lucky on that. Most folks on here know tons more than I do, but I thought I had a chance on those two. Some old-timer would probably know one from earlier.

Is preseason even considered an NFL game?
