That film is a iodophor antibacterial film. We use it to theoretically decrease the infection rate, mainly from organisms that are normal on the skin

that was pretty incredible. I didn't really think I'd be able to watch the whole thing once he started cutting, but I couldn't look away. The whole time all I could think of was that this was just a dude performing maintenance, just on a person instead of a car or computer. I also expected more blood
