Diners with a craving for a legendary Lucky Dog will no longer have to visit the French Quarter to get their fix.

Isn't the whole point to scarf one down when acting like a drunk tourist in the Quarter? Never had one sober so I'm not sure they are even good.

Is there a market for eating these somewhere other than Bourbon St at 3am? Risky business move.

People go to Red Lobster for anniversary dinners. I'm sure there is a market for this too.

It's extra funny because a friend's future father in law just had his birthday at Red Lobster. I instantly thought of that thread.

Do they come water tainted with rat feces? For authenticity.

Same here. I will never have one sober either, I don't want to ruin that glorious 3am drunk taste because those things are magical hammered.

2.67oz per frank.

I'll stick to getting Sabrett dogs from Restaurant Depot.

I've never had a Lucky Dog. Do they actually make their own hot dogs? I would have thought they were just food service hot dogs served out of a cart.

The label indicates that a single dog provides about 1/3 of your daily fat AND sodium.

Eat 3 for breakfast and take off the rest of the day.

Enjoyed the comment posted at the linked article.

Love the thought but one of the best parts of a lucky dog is being served by the guy running it. They always make me smile. That, and ordering it with everything on it. Heaven. Well, for 2 minutes, and then it's hell for a week after.
