I think a shotgun split back with Hillard on the Strong side and Magee/Fournette on the weak side could be hard to stop. I just remembered that Hillard was worked at FB and is a good HB. I just see so much options out of this formation and feel it can utilize a lot of talent on the field wit how deep our receiving and TE core and be plus our QB situation isn't a bad one to be in IMO. Inb4 put down the controller. We've run this a lot in the past.

You're the guy that likes to make up plays and mail them to the coaches aren't you?

1-back with Fournette, and Harris in the Pistol/Shotgun.

Dural, Dupre, Quinn and D. Smith at WR & TE.

Yes, because recognizing a formation and seeing it's potential with possible personnel is making up plays. Good one.

I really do think we have the talent and personal to run a successful spread option attack. Man I'm just excited for football season.

Fournette at QB and Harris at RB first play of the year. Really throw everyone off.

You beat me to it FAF!

No question, it would be a one back set with twins to each side. SOOOOOO many things can be done out of this and create some serious match up problems! Escpecially now with a mobile quarterback!

I am not sure how much four wide sets we will see out of LSU, but I can dream, can't I?

Actually wouldn't mind seeing a single-back set with one of the other backs lined up as a slot/H-back. With all the talent we have at RB, why not use them?

Ignore the smartasses, you'll see this formation a lot this year. Magee and Fournette will both be utilized as recievers to help open up the offense. I'd like to see us in the shotgun with 1 back, 2 WRs, and 2 TEs (ala New England Patriots). I'd have fun watching the matchup nightmares that would cause.

For all you people wishing for the single back offense, Connor Neighbors is bringing his lunch pail.

Gordon, dupre, neighbors, dural, & LF/TMG/KH.

Hoping for the ground & pound and own the clock all year.

Was serious about the notre dame box, four backs in the backfield, three blocking backs and then the one with the ball. did I mention the pulling guard? It is brutal to defend against.

I've been lightening up to the idea of LSU using a lot more shotgun pistol and spread sets. I want to see Cam open up a true multiple playbook with everything. From 1 wide three right to 3 wide RB and an H Back to 4-5 wide spread. We definitely jab the talent and depth to just cause defensive nightmares.

honestly wish they would implement the FB counter trap they ran with Hilliard against Auburn in 2011.
