Many, many, many years ago me and a buddy backpacked for about 4 days within the park. It was awesome and not crowded at all. That being said, may not help much since it has been so long ago....Good fishing in many streams and also got to some lakes within the interior that were fun to catch trout in....

Went last year around May. Had a great time hiking out to the waterfall. Swam underneath it, water was ice cold but felt great.
Hiking out to the "bear" caves were worth it too
We're obviously not talking one of the best parks that Arkansas has to offer considering the ones in North East Arkansas but for a guy like me from Louisiana who's never been to even a decent park, it was a great time. We checked out another park while we were in town.

I took the wife a few years ago. We had a good time, the hike to the waterfall wasn't bad.

Went there about 6 years ago and loved it. That area is very nice. We stayed in a cabin nearby and it was a great time. Did some canoeing, horseback riding and hiking over a long weekend.
Are you looking for something specific like Hiking, Fishing, Hunting, Kids Activities, Boating, etc? If so there may be better locations for particular events, overall this is a nice area and worth the visit.

Top 5 spot in Arkansas. Some caves to explore, nice scenic overlooks of the Arkansas River Valley, some good hiking trails, waterfall.
Used to go from there to Blanchard Springs Caverns near Mountain Home and make a little mini vacation out of it.

Seems like there is an antique auto museum nearby which was started by one of the Rockefellers..
