Maybe give Bridge a football scholarship and have him "walk-on" to the basketball team? Like Bear Bryant in the old days. We could put Darcy on a competitive diving scholarship. It's just crazy to think we might be dealing with a situation like this. Like a couple years ago you couldn't have paid a high profile kid to come to LSU, and now we're the favourite to land 3 5 star caliber kids, including the No.1 player in the country. Just unbelievable.

I think it all depends on the real reason why he left Memphis. If it was bc of playing time then i would say he might consider anyone who has interest but if it was really because he was homesick he would be stupid to leave the state. And if you stay instate why not go to Lsu?

Idk we can use some depth at forward. Epps, bridgewater and Robinson won't cut it once we get to sec play

I know. I still hope we can pull him in but unfortunately we may not have the space with the other big names we're going after. IMO, Brandon is better than advertised.

Blakeney is a must get. He would instantly make a impact at the 3 pt line and maybe even push Hornsby for the starting spot

I figured it's out of Cal and UCLA. I saw Brandon a lot last year because his little brother and my son played for the same city league organization. He was always at the practices and people close to him that I know told me this today before the EBRP tourney.

Do most folks see Blakeney as a strong LSU lean? 80/20?
247 has us as the front runner.
I could see us being a legit preseason top 15 team with Blakeney/Simmons and the return of just one star, Mickey or Martin.

He isn't ready. Every single time I watch him I come away with the same thoughts. At a high level, it'll take a season or two before he can really contribute. Gonna take patience because he hasn't played enough ball at a high level. Defensively, still a huge liability as well.
Potential wise, not sure there is a limit for his game with his athleticism and pure stroke. Just not ready at all yet for the big times.
