Doris - Friday Night - 31 day dry aged Ribeye and wife had hangar steak. Both Top notch quality and prep. Expensive but commensurate with quality. I would go with the bone in ribeye next time (looked better at the neighboring table). The offerings at the retail meat market were very reasonable considering dry aged prices at whole foods etc...

Pesche - all positive reviews on this board are on target. Had another couple with us so we sampled many of the small plates and had the whole roasted redfish for the table. Great value overall.

Tableau - Sunday brunch - enjoyed jazz music with view of Jackson square. Turtle soup, eggs hussarde, breakfast creeps were all very good. Like the space - Will try again for dinner in the future

Also had lunch at the old coffee pot and breakfast at croissant d'or - old familiar standards we like.

Solid choices!

Sounds like a great weekend. I've been wanting to try Doris, I've heard nothing but rave reviews.

Funny, my folks did Tableau last night. They didn't care for it, and that's about what I expect.
