Is it a difficult process to go through to get back owed money.

I don't think so. Just have to provide proper ID. What would be too difficult for free money you'd forgotten about?

Depends on if you think this is difficult to get your money.

quote:

All claims made with our office must include positive proof of ownership. This could be either by verifying the Social Security Number (SSN) in our records, verifying a current and/or previous address or proving an association with the holder. If the address listed is your address or a previous address, you must submit a claim with a copy of your driver’s license or other picture ID, Social Security number (required) and proof of the previous address. If you have never lived at the address listed, there is a very good possibility this money does not belong to you.

I just did this. It was easy. You fill out a form, provide a copy of your ID, and some document indicating you lived at the previous address where the payment was sent. I used an old preprinted deposit ticket to prove the previous address was valid. Mailed off the paperwork and the check was in my hands within two weeks.

Your bank on CC company can't pull an old statement with the previous address?

It took me about 8 months total to get $75. Hardest thing for me was verifying that I used to live at that address since it was 10 years ago, but they accepted old Paypal statements as verification.

Good luck

I would not say it is difficult. Hardest thing is if you have to verify a very old address.

If you are super lazy, there is at least one company out there that will help you in exchange for a cut of the money. The name of the company is escaping me at the moment...

I once found $400 in unclaimed funds that came to me.

Since then, that website has been nothing but hopeful expectations, disappointments, and shattered dreams. It's ruined.

RUINED!
