Any Conway fans on here? Man, what a legend he was, and always will be, one of the truly gifted and incredible country singers of all-time!

I really like him. I like to listen to him when I have to wake up for a long drive early in the morning and the sun is not out yet. Don't know why, but that is when I like listening to him and other classic country artists like Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline, etc.

I like Conway but he was kinda to country music back then what some of the pop-country tools are today.

I was fortunate enough to see Randy Travis open for Conway in BR back in the day. Although I was young, it was an excellent concert.

Saw prob the same tour in Monroe. Conway blew Randy off the stage. I think Conway was a great artist and I think highly of some of his songs:

One of my favorite country singers, well to be truthful one of my favorite singers of any genre. He's also a relative, too bad I don't get any royalties or sing like he does.

Definitely a country music legend, but he was more pop country like Kenny Rogers and Glen Campbell.

"Hello Darlin"is one of the greatest country music songs of all-time

I don't think you can really include Glenn Campell in that group. He was a major talent IMO, although somewhat unfulfilled. The other two I don't think had quite that level of talent but maybe got the most out of what they had.

For some reason Conway Twitty always struck me as the type that would tap any chick with a pulse. I wouldn't be surprised if he was kind of the Wilt Chamberlain of country singers.
