1. Where does Broussette what to graduate from? If he has always wanted to be at LSU, then why let possibility of not being the lead RB stop him from going there? He could always be the second RB at LSU until Fournette leaves.

2. There have been many cases where kids go to another school because they think it gives them more touches and then reality sets in that they aren't the #1 option.

3. How will Texas use him? Let's say he is there #1 RB. Will they ride him into the ground. There have been many great college RBs who are worn down so much that they have nothing left after college.

4. I think Charlie Strong was a great hire, but unfortunately for him there are a lot of powerful UT alumns that are not happy with the hire. If Strong doesn't have a great season, what happens next. There are also a ton of Texas high school coaches that do not like him. Will Strong get a fair shake?

I hope Broussette stays committed. If Broussette chooses UT, I wouldn't be mad at him. I'd much rather him go outside the conference.

I'm still waiting on this 4 RB situation in the past where they all got theirs!

Exactly. So why would Brossette leave to be the fourth RB in Texas' class this year? Or does this 4 running back situation only apply to LSU?

Guys, let's try to be civil.

We can let him express his opinion without trying to kick him out of here.

overall, it's a good conversation that I believe LSU has a lot of advantages to argue. Let this play out and let the dude talk.

Have you guys looked at the running backs in Texas class this year? They wouldn't scare you or me and they definitely shouldn't concern Nick!

This year: Magee, Hilliard, Fournette
Next Year: Fournette, Williams, Brossette/Guice
2016: Same
2017 (Brossette's money year): Brossette/Guice will be the guys and be running on fresh legs but still have in game experience

This guy is nuts if he thinks LSU will ride Fournette into the ground without utilizing 3 or 4 backs like we ALWAYS HAVE.

Well if Nick doesn't want to compete with the best then it is in his best interest to go elsewhere. LSU won't stop recruiting elite RBs

I mean, is that what Strong is selling Nick? That the other RB's shouldn't scare him off because they are not as good as him?

Stevenson and Tristian are both top 30 backs. They aren't trash.

I also happen to think that Guice and Nick would compliment each other perfectly. Not often are you paired up with another player that can help create holes in the defense.

People forget that Magee (mid 3 star) 2 years ago was moved to wr temporarily and was rumored to be looking to transfer (true or not) and now he is considered the starting RB.

It also is pretty unfair to fournette how much he is getting hyped like the 2nd coming of AP. Dude has not even practiced in pads at LSU yet. He will compete just like Magee, Hilliard, and Williams. He may be the best and he may not but I guarantee you they will all get "theirs" because of the system we run.

With that said. Brosette can come in and freshman year get "his" simply because of how we handle rb's. If he turns out to be the best rb he will be showcased in a dual rb system with others also getting their chance. The notion that he will ride the bench etc. is crap because no Les Miles LSU rb that was remotely worth a shite ever has.

He will have an opportunity to be AT WORST the 3rd RB on the roster as a TRUE FRESHMEN, which will equal carries RIGHT AWAY for a CHAMPIONSHIP level team.

If Brossette thinks he's that much more inferior to Fournette then I hope he goes to Texas. That type of attitude won't cut it at LSU.

Duckie don't know what Strong is selling him on but I do know he is a priority for them. The other backs are 3 star type running backs.

I know one is a 4 star player and one is a high 3 star.

Neither are horrible backs and he'll still have to compete with them.

I just hope he realizes that there is a great chance at LSU to get his and move on to the NFL quickly.

Previously you just said that recruits talk to each other, and share how all of them are sold on the same thing.

You believe that Strong is only telling Brossette he's the priority of the class?

There is absolutely NO advantage of going to Texas over LSU. We have a better line, and better RBs to compliment him so when he's draft eligible, he isn't beaten down.

that's not the guy's point, it's that LSU is fully invested in LF and there won't be a competition...but there are other points to consider besides the fact that LSU's history tells you that 4 backs will get carries. First, LF could get hurt, and second, he could realize that he can double (or more) his NFL value by switching to LB. (only partially joking here)
