Top 10?... they've had decent staying power even though George has been dead for decades

What say you?

Great band. Lowell George is one of my favorite musicians. His stuff with Feat, Robert Palmer & The Meters, and with the Grateful Dead is all gold. I have been lucky enough to see Paul Barrere play with Anders Osborne a few times, most recently with Dead Feat over Jazz Fest. But yeah- what a great blend of rock with a funky edge. Terrific studio efforts and even better live.

Completely agree with this. Awesome band that doesn't get the credit they deserve. I listen to them almost every day; love me some Little Feat

ETA: The version of Spanish Moon on Waiting for Columbus (1979 I think) with the live horns is my kinda stuff

They are very talented, yet very unknown.

ETA: Whole album is money

One of the most talented bands ever assembled. Top 10 for me for sure, maybe top 5. I never saw Lowell George but I was at their first concert after his death and it was incredible. After that they were hit or miss in concert but still had the musical talent. Some of their albums post LG were actually pretty good.

Waiting For Columbus is definitely a top 5 album for me.

I think it was Little Feat, can't remember exactly, but my Dad was working in the ER back in his early days as a doctor, and had to stitch up one of the band members foot. I think it was the drummer. It has been years since he told me the story, but he knew who they were and liked their music, and was kind of shocked when a couple of them came into the hospital. The guy went on to play the concert that night.
